I am passionate about serving the community, building relationships, and advocating for the less fortunate. As founder at Kham’s House, I have the privilege of being the visionary catalyst who has an unwavering dedication to pioneer the mission. My desire is to ease the burdens of cancer on families and inspire a community of support. I am committed to creating a haven where families find solace on their challenging journeys of cancer and disease. My journey as a mother of 5 and social worker has shaped my experiences of advocating for my son through his cancer journey for this very purpose in my life.
At Kham’s House, we provide short-term lodging and financial assistance to reduce the financial strain on families of young adults and adolescents navigating the challenges of cancer and disease. It is my firm belief that when an individual goes through a life experience, they have a responsibility to aid others through it and we should share tangibles and intangibles with those in need.
In my role, I will spearhead the organization’s vision and mission. Drive strategic planning, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. Develop and nurture key relationships, ensuring the organization’s growth and impact. Innovate programs, inspire the team, and embody Khams House. I am driven by the desire to help other families as many have helped my family during Kham’s journey. I believe in the sovereignty of God and through the pain, my personal purpose has been birth. It is this belief that propels me to do the work I have been placed on the earth to fulfill.
Outside the professional realm, I enjoy reading, fine dining, conversation parties, traveling, learning about different cultures and line dancing. It is in these moments that I find I create new experiences with people I care about and often gain an opportunity to expand my world view.
